Dark Pantheon
Codex
A short guide to your first ritual, what you gain from it, and what each screen is trying to tell you.
This is not a technical manual. It's here so you know what to do first, what you can gain, and what each sign means as you move through the Pantheon.
Idea:The path is simple: offer at the Altar, return to reveal, earn Divine Favor if the gods bless you, and let your Soul carry what remains.
Tone:Most screens speak in omens, not diagnostics. The deeper machinery stays in admin so the public rite remains readable.
Essentials
How it works (in 30 seconds)
- Dark Pantheon is an onchain ritual game. At the Altar you make an offering and first Commit it (seal it).
- Then you come back later to Reveal and receive the judgement.
- If the judgement is Blessed, your Divine Favor increases—along with your rank.
- Your Soul gathers the traces of your history: cadence, risk, affinities, and public ritual memory tied to your wallet.
Launch
MVP launch priorities
- Protect the control paths before going public: multisig owners for core, action, and treasury.
- Check tier prices, reveal timings, pity, and soft-cap against the target chain before deployment.
- Keep the reveal journey explicit: show countdown while Waiting and clear Finalize guidance when Expired.
- The intended path is simple: commit and reveal on the same device.
Ritual states
What each status means
- Waiting: the commitment is sealed; you must wait until the reveal window opens (a short delay in blocks).
- Ready: you can Reveal now (or Finalize if it’s yours and expired). You need your seal (salt) on this device to reveal.
- Expired: the window closed without a reveal. Anyone can Finalize to clear it; you don’t get DF.
- Resolved: the ritual was already revealed; outcome (Blessed/Cursed) is fixed.
Essentials
Divine Favor (DF)
- DF is the Pantheon’s score for your soul. It goes up when you’re Blessed and stays when you’re Cursed (no loss).
- Each tier grants a fixed amount of DF on success; the value is shown on the tier card.
- Rank and leaderboards are based on DF (and other signals like Blood offered, Zeal).
- You see your DF and rank on your Soul and on the Ranks screen.
Essentials
Season
- The world moves in seasons. The current season comes from the chain and shapes leaderboards and Soul readings.
- On Home, Ranks, and Soul you can switch between Season and All-time. Season view shows only the current chapter; all-time keeps the longer chain memory.
- Each deployment sets its own season name and ending; when a new season begins, the chain number moves.
Essentials
Soul and affinities
- Your Soul is your profile before the Pantheon: DF, rank, Blood offered, Zeal, and signals derived from your offering history.
- Affinities are tendencies toward each god (Noxara, Ilyara, Khoriel). They’re computed from how you offer and can shift over time—they’re not permanent.
- Use Soul to see whether you’re leaning toward consistency, risk, or resilience. You can read it by season or across all time. The exact formulas may still sharpen in later updates.
Common issues
Why you sometimes “can’t Reveal”
- The waiting window may not be over yet.
- Or your seal may be missing on this browser/device (for example if you switched machines, cleared site data, or you’re on a new phone).
- Your seal lives locally on the device and browser that created the ritual.
- If the veil closes, the ritual can be finalized without revealing.
- If something fails and you need the deeper reason, check admin diagnostics or operator logs.
Getting started
Before you offer
- Connect your wallet from the top bar. The app will read your address and show your Soul.
- If you are new, start with a lower tier or daily rite so your first ritual is easier to understand.
- The world is seasonal. Some panels let you switch between Season and All-time.
- If you see an Omen banner on Home, it means you have a ritual ready to reveal, or one whose veil closes soon.
Seals (Salts)
Same-device reveal
- A seal is the secret that lets you Reveal what you committed.
- Seals are bound to the network, this deployment, and the local browser that created the ritual.
- If you redeploy the PantheonCore on the same chain, old seals won’t reveal on the new deployment.
- If you lose the seal before expiry, you won’t be able to reveal that ritual from another device.
- Once the window closes, anyone can finalize the expired ritual and free the slot.
Screen
Home
- The threshold of the world: current season, time remaining, and the mood of the gods.
- If you have something urgent (ready or expiring), Home shows an Omen with a direct path back to the Altar.
- “Favored by the gods” brings forward the leading Souls for this season or for all time.
Screen
Altar
- This is where you perform rituals. Think: Commit → Reveal.
- If you want to tread lightly, choose lower tiers; if you want a bigger DF reward, raise the rite.
- If the Reveal button is locked, it’s usually time or a missing seal.
- The intended flow is to come back on the same device and reveal before the window closes.
Screen
Soul
- Your “profile” before the Pantheon: Divine Favor + rank + signals.
- Temperament, Zeal, and Affinities are not permanent—they shift with how you offer.
- Use it to see whether you’re drifting toward consistency, risk, or resilience, then adjust your style.
Screen
Rituals
- A record of what has already happened: what you offered, and how the Pantheon answered.
- Use it to notice patterns in your path without drowning in numbers.
- If you see unresolved entries, they’re usually waiting to be revealed—or close to expiring.
- At the bottom you may see Veil badges. They are a soft sign of whether the app is hearing fresh echoes from the chain.
- In very long sessions, feeds may keep only the freshest echoes for performance. Reloading is always safe; nothing is lost on-chain.
Screen
Judgements
- A ledger of decisions already spoken: what was accepted, what was denied, and what changed within you.
- Like Rituals, it may show Veil badges at the bottom. They are meant to be felt, not overread.
Screen
Ranks
- This is the public record: rank is reputation.
- Three lenses exist today: Divine Favor, Blood Offered, and Zeal(season).
- Use the scope switches (Season / All-time) to see who rises now versus who endured.
Screen
Pantheon
- A global view of the world: its rhythm, its weight, and the signs the gods choose to expose.
- Useful for context: am I moving with the day, or against it?
- If something seems stale, check the Veil badges on Rituals/Judgements.
Guiding principle
You don’t need to understand it “from the inside”
Dark Pantheon is meant to be played like a ritual: decision, waiting, judgement, consequence. If something looks wrong, it is almost always time, a missing seal, or a veil that has already closed.
Upcoming:Sigils and Favours: clearer paths, advantages, and consequences.
